The EIGHT STEPS is a process like all of life that we believe brings more happiness in our thoughts, words and actions.  We require study of the EIGHT STEPS to remain active in the program and will periodically access progress.  We will cover each step in detail for one week for an eight week cycle and then repeat.  Our intention in the refined EIGHT STEP approach is to provide a road map to decrease addictions and cultivate a new path in life.


1. MINDFULNESS: SATI- Present Moment Awareness! A calm mind, focused and present on what we are doing. The power of being in the NOW! Gratitude

2. BREATHE: PRANAYAMA- Breathing practices; being present with our breathe unifying our MIND & BODY, through out the practice of learning and living the EIGHT STEPS.

3. YOGA POSTURES: ASANA- practice, the physical postures that we will hold with our bodies. Working from the external to the internal to experience new postures in life.

4. MEDITATION: SHAMATHA- Meditation for the purpose here we mean one pointed concentration on the Breathe, Mantra (or another phenomena) for 12 seconds. Peaceful abiding

5. TRUTH: DHARMA- Holding the TRUTH in our hearts. The old cliche "THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE." Recognize that DENIAL is the hallmark of addictions.

6. NON VIOLENCE: AHIMSA- Non-harming the concept of consonance is very important here. Violence brings more violence, Peacefulness brings more peacefulness.

7. COMPASSION & KINDNESS: METTA- Our true nature; the method to live with skillful means "seeing through projections" and recognize we all suffer and respond with kindness.

8. WISDOM: PRAJNA; JHANA- the natural result of all of this. The practice of the EIGHT STEPS. Understanding CAUSE & EFFECT! Recognizing the knowledge within to heal.
